Feature: Oliver Newton, Trainee Quantity Surveyor

March 2025 marked the arrival of a fresh new face at Blou Dynamic, as Oliver Newton joined the team as a Trainee QS. To date, Oliver has settled in impressively well, gaining experience across all areas of the business — from procurement and tendering to valuations, site visits, and project management.

In September, Oliver began studying part-time at Westminster University for his degree in Quantity Surveying, which he’ll pursue over the next five years alongside his work.

But it’s not all spreadsheets and steel toecap boots for Olly — life outside the office is on the up. He recently found a new love interest and, in true rock-and-roll fashion, started a band with friends… keep an eye out for ‘Newton and The Scrotes’.

Everyone at Blou Dynamic is excited to see Oliver grow and thrive, both professionally and personally. We’re confident he’ll become an integral part of the business in no time.
